We’d recommend cleaning up the diffuser thoroughly when there is build up from the essential oils. Follow these steps to make sure you keep your diffuser at its’ best.
Fill the water container half way up, but make sure you fill it below the max line.
Add a tablespoon of white vinegar in the water. This will help dissipate any leftover oils in the diffuser.
Turn the diffuser on and let it work for 5-10 minutes and turn it off. The water-vinegar mixture will help eliminate the remaining oils in the diffuser and dissolve any gunk that may accumulate during regular use.
Discard the water from the container and gently swipe the container dry with a cotton cloth.
If there is still oil residue, take a Q-tip, dab it in white vinegar and clean the corners of the container and the sensor.
Fill the container with clean water and turn it back on for 2-3 minutes. After that, discard the water and gently wipe the inside of the container with a dry cotton cloth.
